Create Your Perfect View

This school holidays, we’re inviting Taupō’s youngest artists to help us bring our Let’s Build Our House project to life. Our “Create the Perfect View competition is open to children aged 12 and under, who are challenged to capture their favourite view of Taupō through art. The winning masterpiece will be enlarged, framed, and placed inside the Let’s Build house — becoming part of the home when it goes to auction. With entries open until Sunday 13 October, it’s the perfect chance for kids to get creative, show their love for Taupō, and be part of something truly special.

We want you to:

• Colour in our awesome house being built by Livingstone Building with the help of local businesses.

• Draw your perfect view from around Lake Taupō in the background.

• The winning entry will have a print of their artwork framed and sold as part of the auction to raise funds for Lake Taupō Hospice. Prizes for age category winners from Pak’n Save Taupō

Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

   • Open to children aged 12 years and under.

   • Three age categories: 6 and under, 7–9 years, and 10–12 years.

2. Judging & Prizes

   • Judging will take place during the week following the closing date.

   • Winners will be announced on Monday 20 October 2025 via Lake Taupō Hospice’s Facebook page and notified directly.

   • Prizes:

   • 1st prize in each age category will receive a fun treats and snacks hamper from Pak’nSave Taupō.

   • Overall Winner will also receive a $100 Pak’nSave voucher and have their artwork framed for display inside the Let’s Build house and sold at auction.

3. Artwork Requirements

   • Artwork must be created on A4 paper in any medium (paint, crayon, pencil, etc).

   • Please ensure all artwork is completely dry before handing it in.

   • One entry per child.

4. Entry Process

   • All entries must be clearly labelled with the child’s name, age, and contact details of a parent or caregiver.

   • Entries must be dropped off by Monday 13 October 2025 to one of the following locations:

     • Lake Taupō Hospice Shop

     • Turangi Hospice Shop

     • Pak’nSave Taupō

     • Or post to Lake Taupō Hospice - 29 Huka Falls Rd, Taupō 3330

5. General Conditions

   • By entering, participants give permission for their artwork to be displayed publicly, shared on social media, and reproduced for promotional purposes.

   • Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

   • Lake Taupō Hospice reserves the right to photograph and use entries for publicity related to the competition and the Let’s Build Our House project.

   • Entries will not be returned.
