Making a Donation

Donating quality second-hand items is a meaningful way to support hospice care in our local community. Before donating, please ensure items are clean, in good condition, and free from stains, holes, or damage. 

Your generosity directly supports the care we provide to local patients and families. 

Items we don’t accept:

  • Electric blankets 

  • Computers & Printers 

  • Stained or Damaged Items 

  • Chipped Kitchen Items/ Bric a Brac 

  • Anything broken that cannot be fixed easily 

  • Shoes with no life left 

  • Hot water bottles 

  • Air mattresses 

  • Old used water bottles 

  • Stained mattresses 

  • Plastic fan heaters 

  • Rusted items that shouldn’t be rusted 

  • Secondhand paint or chemicals 

  • Worn underpants 

  • Gas heaters 

  • Gas bottles 

  • Plasma TV’s 

  • L shaped desks 

  • Used/ stained pillows 

  • Furniture with borer 

  • Used Helmets 

  • Steam mops 

  • Electrical items with foreign plugs or naked wires 

  • Mobile or landline phones 

Unsafe Items:

  • Highchairs without straps 

  • Out of date car seats 

  • Out of date life jackets 

  • Out of date soda stream bottles 

Donations during open hours only:

Taupō Hospice Shop 

  • Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.00pm

  • Saturday 9.30am to 4.00pm 

  • Sunday 9.30am to 3.00pm 

Tūrangi Hospice Shop 

  • Monday to Saturday: 9.30am to 4.00pm
