Friends of Hospice App – Business Partner Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: August 2025
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") outline the roles, expectations, and responsibilities of businesses ("Partner" or "you") participating in the Friends of Hospice App, a fundraising initiative operated by Lake Taupō Hospice ("we," "us," or "our"). By joining as a participating business, you agree to the following terms:
1. Purpose of Partnership
The aim of the Friends of Hospice App is to raise funds for Lake Taupō Hospice by offering users exclusive discounts and special offers at local businesses. As a Partner, you agree to provide at least one ongoing discount, deal, or value-added offer to users who present a valid discount code from the App.
2. Offers and Promotion
You agree to honour the agreed-upon discount or promotion for the duration of your participation.
You may update or modify your offer at any time by giving Lake Taupō Hospice at least 5 business days’ written notice.
All offers must comply with applicable New Zealand consumer and trade laws.
You consent to your business name, logo, and offer being promoted through the App, on our website, and in related marketing materials, including print and social media.
3. Code Validation
Users will present unique discount codes via the App to redeem offers.
You are responsible for verifying that the code is current and valid before applying the discount.
You must not share, replicate, or misuse discount codes for purposes other than verifying user eligibility.
4. No Financial Obligation
There is no cost to participate in the App.
You are under no obligation to provide financial contributions to Lake Taupō Hospice unless otherwise agreed.
5. Right to Withdraw
You may withdraw from the App partnership at any time by providing written notice to Lake Taupō Hospice.
We may also terminate your participation if we reasonably believe that your business is not acting in good faith, misuses discount codes, or damages the reputation of Lake Taupō Hospice.
6. Limitation of Liability
Lake Taupō Hospice is not liable for any losses or damages arising from your participation in the App.
We are not responsible for disputes between your business and App users.
7. Privacy and Use of Information
Your business details will be used solely for the purpose of managing and promoting the App and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
We may collect aggregate data for internal reporting and fundraising impact, but this will not identify your business individually without prior approval.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Any changes will be communicated to you via email or your preferred contact method. Continued participation after changes constitutes your agreement to the updated Terms.

Friends of Hospice App – Donor Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Friends of Hospice App (the "App"), operated by Lake Taupō Hospice ("we," "us," or "our"). By making a donation and using the App, you agree to the following Terms.
1. Purpose of the App
The Friends of Hospice App is a fundraising initiative designed to support Lake Taupō Hospice. In return for a donation, users receive access to special offers and discounts at participating local and national businesses through unique discount codes.
2. Donation and Access
Access to the App is granted with a minimum monthly donation of $20.
Users may choose to donate more than the minimum amount if they wish.
Your donation directly supports the work of Lake Taupō Hospice and is not refundable.
There is no long-term commitment; donations can be cancelled at any time.
If a donation is cancelled or payment fails, access to the App will be revoked 1 month after your last payment date.
3. User Access and Conduct
Access is granted through a personal login and is non-transferable.
Discount codes must not be shared, posted publicly, or used fraudulently.
Misuse of codes or abusive behaviour may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the App.
4. Offers and Discounts
Offers are provided by generous local businesses and are subject to change.
Lake Taupō Hospice is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or conditions of any third-party offer.
Businesses may withdraw or update their offers at any time without notice.
5. Privacy and Data Use
We collect minimal personal information to provide access to the App and communicate with you about Hospice-related updates.
Your data will not be sold or disclosed to third parties except where necessary to manage the App’s services.

6. Termination of Access
You may cancel your monthly donation at any time through your account or by contacting us directly.

7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
Lake Taupō Hospice is not responsible for any damages, loss, or inconvenience arising from the use of the App or discount codes.
We do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation of the App.
