Launching the ‘Let’s Build’ Project

It was an incredible morning welcoming everyone to the official launch of the Let’s Build project. Under clear skies and with a strong sense of community spirit, we gathered at the build site on 139 Ruapehu Street to mark the beginning of something truly special. The site was beautifully blessed by Robert Kereopa from St Andrew’s Church, setting a meaningful tone for what lies ahead. Guests heard from both Livingstone Building and Lake Taupō Hospice about the vision behind this collaborative project — and the amazing impact it will have.

Livingstone Building is proud to present the Let’s Build project — a collaborative fundraiser for Lake Taupō Hospice to construct and auction a fully functional, two-bedroom transportable home. Over the next two months, this exciting build will come to life with the help of generous local businesses, tradespeople, apprentices, and supporters across the Taupō community.

The 66sqm home, designed by Jackie Robinson Architecture, is stylish, compact, and practical — a perfect modern solution for someone ready to place it on their own slice of land. When completed, it will go to live auction, giving one lucky bidder the chance to own a brand-new home and contribute to an incredible cause.

All proceeds from the sale will go directly to Lake Taupō Hospice, helping to provide free, specialist palliative care 24/7 to people of all ages living with life-limiting illnesses across the Taupō/Tūrangi District.

Along with Livingstone Building a special thanks to our other partners:

Let’s Build is more than a project — it’s a celebration of what’s possible when people come together for a greater good. Every partner, every business, and every supporter is helping create something meaningful. The energy at the launch was a reminder of how generous and connected our Taupō community truly is.

We invite everyone to keep an eye on the Let’s Build project over the coming weeks. Follow the build, share the journey, and watch as this house takes shape — one nail, one board, one incredible act of generosity at a time.

Kim Manunui

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
