| There are lots of different ways to volunteer these days – with many volunteers working remotely from the organisations they support, in their own time at their own place. We have a range of roles which are suitable for remote volunteering | |
| Role | Description |
| Administration support | Administrative assistance to hospice staff. This could include things such as preparing training materials, data entry, reception duties or general administrative tasks. Some of these can be done as remote volunteering opportunities |
| Communications and Displays | Assisting with the development and maintenance of hospice information displays. Includes all aspects including art work, copy writing and layout. Some aspects of this role are suitable for remote volunteering |
| Cooking / Baking | Preparing food in your own home which is frozen and distributed to patients on an as needed basis. This could include simple meals through to biscuits, cakes and other treats. Frozen food is stored at Hospice. |
| Assisting with the upkeep, communication flow and community engagement on the hospice facebook page. Some aspects of this role are suitable for remote volunteering | |
| Proof Reading | This includes proof reading and editing patients biographies before final copies are printed and published, hospice newsletters, reports and other communications materials. Some aspects of this role are suitable for remote volunteering |
| Special and Research projects | From time to time research projects or other self-contained projects are needed. These opportunities particularly suit remote volunteering. |
| Website | Assisting with the upkeep, communication flow and community engagement on the hospice website. Some aspects of this role are suitable for remote volunteering |
