Public Facing Roles |

| These roles have a significant public interface. This could be in a variety of situations either in the general community (such as a the shop or events) or within hospice facilities. They are likely to include some occasional contact with patients and/or family members. | |
| Role | Description |
| Administration/ Reception Support | Working in the reception at hospice house, greeting visitors, answering phones and completing general administration tasks |
| Catering | Providing catering for events at hospice, including the Day Stay programme, business breakfasts etc. All meals cooked on site at Hospice House |
| Donation Boxes | Managing donation boxes within the community – identifying opportunities for placement and the clearing and replacing of full boxes |
| Event Volunteering | Volunteering at events which form part of our fundraising activities. This could include usher, hosting duties, promotion, planning and organising |
| Farming for Hospice | Working with the farming community to promote the Farming for Hospice fundraising activities. Good connections in the farming community and a strong understanding of farming is very beneficial |
| Hosting | Hosting events at Hospice House. Includes setting up events, greeting visitors, waiting on tables, serving drinks, post event clear up. |
| Shop – Retail | Working front of house in the hospice shops (Taupo or Turangi), setting up displays, pricing items and serving customers |
| Shop – Deliveries | Working in a team to deliver or collect large items being donated or sold in the hospice shop. You need to be physically fit and able to drive. Taupo based. |
