On the 21st June – the shortest day of the year – Breeanah Tweeddale braved the cold to shave off her hair to raise money for Lake Taupo Hospice. This is the second fundraising event the Tweeddale kids have done but Bree’s solo effort took lots of hard work and courage. In front of her whole school, her teachers, parents and other supporters her dark locks very quickly became a shaven head. CEO Jeff Bennett and Projects Manager Hilary Morrish Allen were also there to support Bree’s efforts as well as give her a gift of some beanies to help her keep her ears warm! Here Jeff and Bree are comparing haircuts! Bree’s final fundrasing total is not yet confirmed but it will be over $2000!
